About Us
The purpose of E-KANS is:
a. To provide a closer bond and a more unified spirit among nursing students and encourage social and professional unity within the department.
b. To insure active participation of students in the governance of the ESU department of nursing.
c. To provide a means of communication between the faculty and student body.
d. To aid in the development of the student into nursing professional.
Membership Benefits
We have routine but flexible meeting times, we routinely provide meal or snacks throughout our meetings and have a very accepting group. Our members have the opportunity to foster close relationships with nursing faculty and students. We attend both state and national conventions and fundraise to attend these conventions to create networking opportunities for our members.
Projects & Initiatives
EKANS is currently partnering with SOS in Emporia to support a local family facing challenges of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and/or neglect this holiday season. We are gathering gifts and supplies for this family. We are also working towards a blood drive next month.
