About Us

The Entrepreneurship Club at Emporia State University empowers students to think creatively, take initiative, and develop the mindset of future business leaders. Our mission is to ignite innovation, inspire action, and build a community of students passionate about entrepreneurship and personal growth.

Open to students from all majors, the club serves as a hub for those interested in starting a business, joining a startup, or learning how to think like an entrepreneur. Through meetings, workshops, and collaborative projects, members gain the tools and confidence to turn ideas into real opportunities.

Membership Benefits

Membership in the Entrepreneurship Club gives students access to a wide range of personal and professional development opportunities designed to build real entrepreneurial skills. Members gain hands-on experience by developing and pitching business ideas through workshops, challenges, and collaborative projects. The club also provides valuable networking opportunities, connecting students with local entrepreneurs, faculty experts, and community leaders who can offer guidance and insight. Through mentorship and support, students strengthen their leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities while learning how to think strategically and creatively. Members also benefit from exclusive resources, campus opportunities, and resume-building experiences that prepare them for future careers, internships, and entrepreneurial ventures. Joining the club allows students to grow their confidence, expand their network, and take meaningful steps toward achieving their goals.

Projects & Initiatives

Our events are designed to help students learn directly from successful entrepreneurs, apply new skills, and connect with real-world opportunities. The Entrepreneurship Club has plans to regularly host guest speakers, giving members the chance to hear from local business owners, ESU alumni, and experienced entrepreneurs who share valuable insights and lessons from their journeys.

Members can also participate in the spring Entrepreneurship Challenge, the school of business and technology's pitch competition, where students develop innovative business ideas and present them for feedback, recognition, and prizes. (Competition held typically in mid-late April of every school year)

In addition, the club is exploring future opportunities to attend regional and national entrepreneurship conferences, which would allow students to expand their networks, gain exposure to industry trends, and deepen their understanding of the entrepreneurial landscape. These projects and events provide members with meaningful experiences that encourage creativity, collaboration, and hands-on learning.
