About Us
The Muslim Student Association (MSA) at ESU is a welcoming and inclusive student organization dedicated to building community, fostering friendships, and supporting the personal and spiritual growth of students. Our mission is to connect Muslim students on campus, provide a space where they feel understood and represented, and share the universal values of Islam in a way that benefits the entire ESU and Emporia community.
MSA is open to everyone—Muslims and non-Muslims alike. We regularly host a variety of activities, including weekly gatherings, discussions on religious and social topics, potlucks, celebrations of Islamic holidays, and Quran study sessions. We also organize recreational events such as soccer pickups and cricket tournaments to encourage wellness, teamwork, and fun.
Beyond social and educational programs, MSA strives to serve as a resource for any student who needs support, whether it’s academic, social, cultural, or personal. Our goal is to create a warm, respectful environment where students can learn, connect, and grow together.
We invite all students to join our events, follow our updates, and become part of our community as we continue to strengthen our presence on campus and contribute positively to ESU.

Projects & Initiatives
The Muslim Student Association (MSA) continues to host meaningful programs that strengthen our community and support students on campus. Our next upcoming event is a Quran Study Session on Wednesday, November 26, in MU 250D (Miller). All students are welcome to join us for reflection, learning, and discussion.
We are also preparing for our signature annual event, the Ramadan Iftar Party 2026. The official date will be announced soon, but it is expected to take place between February 27 and March 6, in shā’ Allāh. This gathering brings together students, faculty, and community members for an evening of unity and celebration.
In addition, MSA members volunteer at the Islamic Center of Emporia (ICE) every Friday to help maintain and clean the facility. Anyone interested in visiting or joining this weekly community service effort is warmly invited.
More events and updates will be shared throughout the semester as we continue to grow and engage the ESU and Emporia communities.
