About Us

The purposes NAfME are to make opportunities for professional development available to members; acquaint students with the privileges and responsibilities of the music education profession; provide for its members opportunities to become acquainted with leaders in the music education profession as gained from participation in programs and demonstrations, discussions, and performing groups planned by this organization; provide opportunity for contacts with individual student members of this and other states. The ESU chapter of collegiate NAfME strives to attend KCOMTEPS on the last Sunday of September every year, as well as attend KMEA at the end of February, since these are one day or multiple day conferences geared towards music education and include many opportunities to network and attend clinics.
