TORCCH (Teaching Others Rhetoric, Civics, Compassion, and Humanity) is an organization dedicated to increasing civic literacy in students. By engaging with our community, learning about our civic systems and how you can use them! We offer classes, community outreach events, and other drives to make our community great! We have 5 officers and around 20 members currently working with us on two committees. We are currently working to put together a newsletter that covers areas of community outreach, events, and legislation that may affect YOU! We also have a branch who is more hands on, and wishes to hear from and work with you to better educate on your civic rights, and responsibilities.

Membership Benefits

Members are welcomed into a thoughtful and engaged community of students who share a commitment to civic responsibility and public service. Through TORCCH, they gain access to a network of resources, experienced mentors, and partner organizations dedicated to fostering the next generation of advocates and community leaders.

Participation in TORCCH offers members meaningful, hands-on opportunities to develop practical skills in advocacy, communication, and community engagement. By working alongside fellow students and local partners, members can deepen their understanding of civic issues while contributing to projects that have a tangible impact.

Members may also be invited to share their insights through publication in our newsletter, allowing them to elevate their perspectives and engage with a wider audience. In addition, select members may have the opportunity to attend conferences focused on public advocacy and civic literacy, where they can learn from experts in the field, participate in broader conversations, and represent TORCCH in a professional setting.
