About Us
UNICEF at Emporia State is a student-led organization and an official partner of UNICEF USA. Our goal is simple: to bring ESU students together to learn about global issues and take real action that improves the lives and wellbeing of children around the world. We focus on major topics like education, health, clean water, equity, and child protection, and we also explore the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For example, we look at how goals like Quality Education, Gender Equality, and Clean Water connect to what’s happening right here in our own community and how we can help advance them.
Our club is hands-on. We plan service projects, organize advocacy campaigns, participate in fundraising efforts, and create leadership opportunities for students who want to make a real difference. Whether you care about human rights, global development, public health, gender equality, policy, or community service, or even if you’re just curious and want to learn, UNICEF at ESU is a welcoming space where your passion can grow. The best part is our club is open to everyone! We meet twice a month!
More than anything, we believe every student has the power to create change. In this club, you’ll find people who care, chances to step into leadership, meaningful ways to get involved, and a community that truly wants to make the world better; one project at a time. If you’re looking for a place to grow and do meaningful work with a supportive group, we’d love to have you join us!
